I'm really enjoying this photo project, Sarah, and this is definitely one of my favorites. She has such graceful little hands!
I love this! What a cute idea. I wish I had time to take more pics for me! One day. But I will for sure enjoy looking at all of your creative pics. And congrats on your new camera!
Another head-chopping photo! ;) Love this one too.
I actually like this head-chopping photo better though. I think because it's a closer crop you're leading my eye more clearly to the action. Everything, from her hair to her arm to her slightly angled stick to the tilt of her chin, is drawing my eye across the line to her hand on the tree. Then her legs and her knees and the stick (again) are drawing my eye back through a circle to notice her posture. It's a great subject and a great composition!
I liked this one better, too, Em! But your discussion of lines more clearly illustrates why than my stuttered 'Ohh, pretty.' :)(She's digging in the decaying log, and in a second, she'll be flinging crushed bark in my general direction. It serves me right for getting so close to the action!)
